Double-entry by design
Every transaction in Pragma balances, or it does not post. Debits and credits are enforced by the system, not by the care of whoever is entering the data. This sounds basic, but many small-business tools allow single-sided entries that later need an accountant to untangle.
Posted entries are permanent. If something is wrong, the correction is made with a new entry, so the audit trail stays intact. Your auditor can see what happened and when, without relying on anyone's memory.
Built for the Bahraini dinar
The dinar is divided into 1,000 fils, so amounts are held and displayed to three decimals throughout. Multi-currency is supported for companies that buy or sell in US dollars, Saudi riyals or other currencies, with exchange differences posted automatically.
Bank reconciliation without the evening
Upload a bank statement or connect a live feed through Tarabut. Pragma reads each line and matches it to invoices, bills and payroll using amount, reference, date and customer history. Matched lines are proposed for approval. Only the exceptions need a person.
VAT in the NBR format
Sales and purchase VAT is captured at the point of the transaction, coded correctly, and summarised into the return layout the National Bureau for Revenue expects. Supporting schedules are available for review before you submit.
What the module includes
The accounting module covers the work a finance team does every month.
- Chart of accounts suited to Bahraini SMEs, editable to your needs
- Sales invoices, purchase bills, credit notes and receipts
- Bank and cash accounts with reconciliation
- Fixed assets and depreciation
- Trial balance, profit and loss, and balance sheet on demand
- Cost centres and project-level reporting
- A Tally bridge for companies moving their books across
Connected to everything else
Because Pragma is one system, payroll posts its own journals, stock movements update inventory valuation, and won deals become invoices. The accountant reviews and closes, instead of re-keying from three other places.
