What an ERP should do for a Bahraini company
ERP stands for enterprise resource planning. In plain terms it is one system that holds your accounts, your staff records, your customers, your projects and your stock, so that one action updates everything it touches. An invoice raised in sales appears in the ledger. A payroll run posts its journal. A stock sale reduces the shelf and the balance sheet together.
Most ERP products are designed for large companies in larger markets, then configured for the Gulf. That configuration is where the time and money go. A Bahraini SME needs GOSI contributions, a WPS salary file, LMRA permit tracking, NBR VAT returns and a Bahrainisation ratio on the first day, not after a consulting project.
One database, five modules
Pragma is organised into five modules that share the same records. Nothing is exported from one to another, because there is nothing to export: they are the same system.
- Accounting and finance: double-entry ledger, BHD to three decimals, multi-currency, bank reconciliation and NBR VAT.
- HR and payroll: GOSI, WPS, leave, loans, indemnity, work permits and CPR tracking.
- CRM and sales: pipeline, quotations, orders, invoices and collections.
- Operations and projects: tasks, timesheets, milestones and project profitability.
- Inventory and procurement: stock by location, purchase orders, reorder alerts and valuation.
Compliance that is built in, not bolted on
Bahrain's regulatory picture is specific. Social insurance rates differ for Bahraini and expatriate staff. Expatriate end of service is now funded monthly through the Social Insurance Organisation. Salaries must be paid through WPS. VAT returns follow the NBR format. Pragma models each of these directly, so your team is not maintaining a spreadsheet beside the system.
When a rule changes, we update the product. You do not commission a change request.
Run it by screen or by conversation
Every part of Pragma has a normal screen. It also connects to AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT, so an owner can ask which customers are paying late, or instruct the system to draft a contract, in plain language. The assistant works with the same permissions as the user, and nothing changes until someone approves it.
Hosted in Bahrain, built for the long term
Pragma runs on the AWS Bahrain region, so your financial and payroll data stays in the Kingdom. It is designed for the Personal Data Protection Law from the start, with per-company data isolation and a full audit trail. Pragma is a product of Noor Al Qallam W.L.L., a Bahrain-registered holding company, and is being built for Bahrain first, with GCC expansion to follow.
How a move to Pragma works
We start with a discovery session, map your processes, and configure Pragma around them. A pilot then runs in parallel with your current way of working until the numbers match. Only then is the old process retired. Companies on Tally or Excel can bring their opening balances, customer lists and staff records across.
